The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is a registered charity that saves lives at sea.

R.N.L.I. Calshot Lifeboat is situated on Calshot Spit in Hampshire.

It’s crew is voluntary and available to save life at sea within the busy Solent, Southampton Water and offshore areas 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Calshot has 2 lifeboats, a Tyne class all weather lifeboat and a D-class inshore lifeboat.

Sailing vessel off of Hamble river with engine failure in choppy conditions was unable to return to river and her home berth.

Calshot’s ILB rendered assistance and towed her into the river to safety landing the vessel and her 4 POB at Warsash.
